Geocaching and Traveling in Romania - Summer 2011 (7)

Out big trip in Romania was ended, in fact we went from the south, touching Bulgaria and Serbia, to the North, to Hungary and very close to Ukraine. After two or three days it was time to go to a much close place, but even so very meaningful for us, Brasov, in the Carpathian Mountains, where I went for the first a few days after my wedding, in a different time, with a different weather (a lot of snow), but always one of the best places to visit, anytime of the year.
Our first stop was in Sinaia, also in the mountains, where we found two caches, one in the train station, that must be seen due to way it is hidden, just great, and another one in the Peles Castle, wish is one of the most visited monuments in Romania, that we shouldn't miss.
This Castle in the past was a holiday residence for the Romanian King, now it's a museum, but I really don't know who owns it, once with  the fall of the communism everything went back to the previous owners, no matter the interest that these things might or not have to the all country..
Brasov is a very beautiful city, with a great historical center, having the influence of the Germans, so it is a bit different from the south of the country.

Brasov
On our last day in this central part of Romania we went to visit the top of the Mountains. First we thought about going in a cable car, but once arrived to Busteni we found out that it wasn't possible, or at least we had to wait too much for it, because there were so many people expecting to do the same thing. So we decided to go using Jeep... it was a wonderful adventure, arriving to 2300m with a car, and the better was the magnificent landscapes that we could appreciate from up there...
