Geocaching and Traveling in Romania - Summer 2011 (4)
Our big journey, and I really mean big, once it took us from the South, to the North of the Country, started with a visit to Orsova, near the Danube river, where we had the chance to take a little boat trip on this great river, to see the beautiful natural landscapes in both Romania and Serbia.
We had the chance to find to great caches, that are in two special places, one in Monastirea Sfanta Ana (Saint Ana monastery) and another one near the Decebalus Rex big rock sculpture.
It was time to leave south, and in a day where our objective was to reach Oradea, near the Hungarian border, we had a great journey, and even had the chance to visit two great places, with a lot of historical meaning. First the roman ruins of Sarmizegetusa, where we found the cache Roman Forum.

After this we stopped in Hunedoara. From a long time I used to admire the photos of this castle, and this year I had the chance to visit it, it's a wonderful place to make a stop. There I went to search, and fortunately found, the GIRLY CACHE - HUNEDOARA CASTLE cache.
