Romania – Brasov to Bucharest – Last Day
The last
day of our trip to the north of Romania was spent mostly in Brasov, on a walk
around the city centre. We went around the old Brasov fortress and there we
stopped near some of the towers that in our days represent some of the crafts.
The places are very interesting, and we can visit some of them, to have a nice
view from the top.
At the
entrance, in almost all of these towers we have a nice geocache that give us
some information about the location. Even so, there was no special need for
information, once you have all the info you need near the towers.
Not far from the fortress we can have a nice view to the Dramatic theatre of Brasov. In there is also a geocache to be found, very well hidden!
Many
other places, many other geocaches could be found in this beautiful town, but there
is always an excuse to come back and return to Brasov to enjoy some moments
here, no matter if we are in the hot summer time, or in the winter time with
the white snow all around us.
After Brasov,
we took the road that lead us to Bucharest, passing by the Prahova valley. This
road is with too much traffic until we pass by Sinaia, and there is no
alternative, which upsets me a lot. Even so we had a nice time, and stopped in
Busteni, to lunch and search for this cache:
Here what
is most impressive for me here is the great mountains you see in front of you.
There are several ways to go up there, from the cable car, or even by a 4x4
vehicle (it was my choice last time, and a very pleasant trip, with a local
driver, of course). Now it was just for enjoying the views.
From
Busteni we still pass by Sinaia, even if we don’t stop here, it’s one of the
first places, out of Bucharest, that’ve visited in Romania, and one of the most
special ones, for many reasons, that we must visit, all the time.
