Drave

Drave is a very small village in the Arouca region, which lost the last inhabitants in the first years of this century. Now, due to the effort of scouts, it is becoming a place for visiting, even if most of the houses are in ruins, some are being recovered by this young people.

It was the first time I went in these trails. At the moment there is a track that people can use to leave the 4x4 vehicles not far from the village, even so, there is no way to go there by car, at least the final steps must be done walking.

We went a little more hiking, from the village of Regoufe, where we departed in the morning, it’s about 4kms the distance between these two villages.

Besides the wonderful mountain scenarios, we have the green landscapes near the water courses, and the peace of being far from everything.

Now, probably due to the several news we had on TV about this place, not only the scouts come to this place, we can see all the time people on the tracks to the village.

If we enjoy geocaching, there are a few places that have geocaches, some we have leave the trails, but the spots are wonderful.
