3000 founds – It’s all about the numbers?

It was almost 5 years ago since I first discovered a geocache.

On the first times I must say that it wasn’t such a big deal, in fact in the first year just achieve a few discoveries… but must also mention that on these days it wasn’t as easy as today to find a container, which made every search a very special moment, and almost all the geocaches took me to excellent places.

With the time passing things become more intense, and it’s hard to go to any place without seeing if around isn’t anything to look for… Sometimes the balance between what we do and how things should be done isn’t so easy, especially if you are the only one at home that enjoys this hobby.

Now things are quite different, the game has spread and almost everybody does it. Which is not bad, once we have more to choose, and more people to talk about this, or to join us in journeys around some places for geocaching.

During the last weeks I was thinking about a place, a special cache to be found in order to be the number 3000 on my list of achievements, but when it come the moment I almost had no chance to choose. So, the numbers shouldn’t be seen as “the exact and perfect number”, but by all the special places I’ve visited, by the great containers I’ve seen, by the great people I’ve met.

A very special thanks to my family, for being with me all this time, even if sometimes I’m not there…
